I am a counselor in private practice in Eugene, Oregon, helping people with depression and anxiety use mindfulness and compassion to dissolve the obstacles that keep them from happiness. I enjoy working with individual adults and leading groups and giving talks. See my Approach to Counseling for insight into my philosophy of therapy. I earned my Master's of Psychology: Contemplative Psychotherapy degree at Naropa University in 2002.
In addition to my counseling work, I am a psychic channeler and spiritual healer. In channeling, I go into a light trance, allowing my guides, your guides, and other helpful non-incarnate beings bring through the clarity , unconditional love, and impressions of your life. I have worked with my guides in this way since 1989. We help people with all kinds of difficulties, including relationship issues, money problems, health, life work/path, past lives and speaking to people who have passed over (when they are available).
Although I have worked with Bach flower remedies since the mid-1980s, I have only been training through the Bach Centre since 2008. I am on the verge of becoming a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner, one of only two in Oregon and a hundred or so in the entire U.S. See the Bach Centre site for more information about the remedies.
Many of my clients enjoy the range of modalities we can work within, and appreciate having a counselor with a strong intuitive/spiritual sensibility or a channeler with the skills, good boundaries and ethics of a trained therapist.
I have been in private practice since 1988 in various healing modalities, including Reiki, Bach Flower Essence Therapy, and other energy medicine practices. I teach classes and workshops in shamatha (calm-abiding) meditation, energy medicine and spiritual healing.
